How to make the performance of stainless steel flange ball valves stable

Stainless Steel Flange ball valve is a widely used universal Stainless Steel Valve in valves, with a large usage and fast consumption. Therefore, reasonable maintenance can improve work efficiency, reduce maintenance time, and save replacement costs. To ensure stable performance and long service life of stainless steel ball valves, attention should be paid to the following factors:

1. If cleaning Stainless Steel Valves, the solvent used must not conflict with the parts to be cleaned and not corrode. If it is a gas specific ball valve, gasoline can be used for cleaning. Other components can generally be cleaned with medium water. When cleaning, it is necessary to thoroughly clean any residual dust, oil stains, and other attachments. If it is not possible to clean with clean water, targeted cleaning agents such as alcohol can be used without damaging the valve body and components. After cleaning, wait for the cleaning agent to completely evaporate before assembling.

2. Generally, soft sealed stainless steel ball valves use PTFE as the sealing material, and the sealing surface of hard sealed ball valves is made of metal overlay welding. If it is necessary to clean the pipeline ball valve, caution should be taken during disassembly to prevent damage to the sealing ring and leakage.

Before use, clean the pipeline and valve body with water to prevent residual iron filings and other debris from entering the valve body cavity.

4. Long term outdoor storage can cause rusting of the valve body and components, making it unable to function properly. When storing ball valves, they should be rainproof, waterproof, and moisture-proof, and the Flange cover should be tightly closed. Stainless steel valves stored for more than 12 months should be retested during use to ensure stable performance.

When disassembling and assembling stainless steel ball valves, the bolts and nuts on the flange should be fixed first, then all nuts should be slightly tightened, and finally firmly fixed. If individual nuts are forcibly fixed first, and then other nuts are fixed, uneven loading between flange surfaces may cause damage or rupture of the gasket surface, leading to leakage of the valve flange joint medium.

6. If slight leakage is found at the packing during use, the valve stem nut can be slightly tightened until the leakage stops. Do not continue to tighten.

7. When the Stainless Steel Ball Valve is in the closed state, there is still some residual medium in the valve body and it is also under certain pressure. Before inspecting the ball valve, close the shut-off valve in front of the ball valve, open the ball valve that needs to be inspected, and completely release the internal pressure of the valve body. If it is an electric or pneumatic ball valve, the power and air sources should be disconnected first.
